Australia vs Scotland: Australia chase down 154 in under 10 OVERS!

Australia vs Scotland: Travis Head guided Australia to a stunning seven-wicket victory over Scotland in the opening Twenty20 International in Edinburgh. Head’s spectacular innings included a record-equalling 17-ball fifty and the highest individual score in a powerplay, helping Australia reach the mark with more than 10 overs remaining.

Scotland started strong, with George Munsey leading the way. Despite losing wickets, they maintained a fast run rate, reaching 101 for 3 in the 12th over.

However, Australia’s bowlers, led by Spinner Adam Zampa and their quicks, turned the tide, limiting Scotland to 154 runs.

The Australian answer was nothing short of breathtaking. After Jake Fraser-McGurk was removed for a duck in his T20I debut, Head and Mitchell Marsh launched an incredible powerplay onslaught. At one point, 14 consecutive deliveries were sent to the boundary, helping Australia achieve the second-highest powerplay total in T20I history (113 for 1). Head’s contribution of 73 runs broke Paul Stirling’s previous record of 67 runs against the West Indies in 2020.
