India vs West Indies: Rohit Sharma’s Team India will embark on a multi-format tour of the Caribbean in July and August after a bittersweet run in the recently concluded ICC World Test Championship (WTC). India, the two-time runner-up, will take face the West Indies in the third WTC as they begin their quest for the elusive ICC Test Mace. In July, Team India will play a two-Test series against the West Indies.
The BCCI has released the itinerary for India’s visit of the West Indies, which will include 2 Test matches, 3 ODIs, and 5 Twenty20 matches.
“We are delighted to be able to confirm the schedule and venues for the highly anticipated visit by India. One of the highlights will be the 100th Test at the Queen’s Park Oval and this promises to be a fantastic occasion as we celebrate this historic event between these two proud cricketing nations,” said Johnny Grave, who is also the CEO of Cricket West Indies (CWI).
The curtain-raiser at Windsor Park in Dominica (12–16 July) is when the two-match Test series that will comprise the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship will begin.
The second Test will be played at Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval from July 20 to July 24. The 100th Test between India and the West Indies will be the match that decides the series.
Three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will be played after the Test Series, with the first 50-over match taking place at Kensington Oval in Barbados on July 27. Barbados will also host the second ODI on July 29, and Trinidad will host the series finale at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on August 1.
From August 3 to August 13, India will also play a five-match T20I series. The five-match T20I series will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and the Guyana National Stadium.
