The IPL 2025 mega auction is just around the corner, and one name that’s definitely going to get a lot of attention is Shreyas Iyer. He’s known for being super consistent and a great leader, which makes him a perfect pick for a lot of teams. Here are five teams that should seriously think about signing him:
Top 5 IPL 2025 Teams Likely to Target Shreyas Iyer
1. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Shreyas has already played for KKR before, so he knows the team and how they roll. He’s the kind of player who can handle pressure in the middle order and steady the innings when things get tough. Plus, KKR could use a player like him to make a serious title run.
2. Delhi Capitals (DC)
Let’s be real, Shreyas was amazing when he captained DC. He took the team to some of their best seasons, and bringing him back could really help them. They need a strong batter and someone who knows how to handle tough situations, and Shreyas is perfect for that.
3. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
PBKS always seems to struggle in the middle order, and Shreyas could totally fix that. He’s the kind of guy who can either play it slow when needed or go all out. If Punjab wants to finally have a good season, signing Shreyas would be a smart move.
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
SRH has been having a rough time lately, especially with their batting. Shreyas would be a great fit for their middle order, helping them build solid innings and finishing strong. Plus, his calm and cool attitude is something SRH really needs right now.
5. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
RCB always has big hitters, but what they’re missing is someone who can anchor the innings when things go sideways. Shreyas could be that guy. He’s consistent, plays smart, and can handle pressure, which is exactly what RCB needs to go all the way.
Shreyas Iyer is the kind of player who can change the game for any team. He’s reliable, experienced, and knows how to handle big moments. Any of these teams would be lucky to have him in the 2025 IPL season!
