Mitchell Starc is one of the best fast bowlers in the world, and he’s back in the IPL auction for 2025. Known for his speed, deadly yorkers, and ability to shine in big games, Starc is expected to grab a lot of attention. After being let go by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), fans are wondering which team will pick him. Here are five teams that should seriously think about signing him:
Top 5 IPL 2025 Teams Likely to Target Mitchell Starc
1. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
RCB’s bowling has always been a weak point. Starc could be the perfect fix. He’s great at both taking early wickets and controlling runs in the death overs.
Starc played for RCB back in 2014 and 2015, so he knows the team well. Adding him to their squad could finally help them win their first IPL trophy.
2. Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Punjab Kings have plenty of money to spend and really need a top-quality bowler like Starc. Their bowling attack often struggles, especially on the flat pitches in Mohali.
Starc can swing the ball with the new ball and deliver deadly spells with the old one. He could be the game-changer Punjab Kings need to make it to the playoffs.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Even though KKR released Starc, they might want him back. He was one of their best players last season, winning key games in the playoffs and final.
KKR already knows what Starc can do. If they can afford him at the auction, bringing him back would make a lot of sense for the team.
4. Gujarat Titans (GT)
Gujarat Titans are a solid team but need a reliable fast bowler. Starc’s skills and experience make him a perfect fit for them.
He can swing the ball early and bowl yorkers under pressure. Plus, his presence could help the younger bowlers in the team improve their game.
5. Delhi Capitals (DC)
Delhi Capitals have a strong team but need more firepower in their bowling. Starc could be their star bowler, leading the attack and making an impact in every game.
His ability to take wickets in crunch moments would be a huge boost for DC, especially in close matches.
Why Mitchell Starc is Special
Starc isn’t just fast; he’s smart too. He knows how to adapt to different situations and deliver when it matters most. Whether it’s taking early wickets, bowling perfect yorkers, or stepping up in pressure moments, Starc is the complete package.
