New York Cricket Stadium: New York is set to witness a historic cricket match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan at the newly built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, which will host eight games of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The 34,000-seat modular New York Cricket stadium, a first of its kind for cricket, is expected to be ready in three months. It is designed by Populous, the firm behind some of the most iconic stadia in the world, such as the Narendra Modi Stadium in India and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England.

The stadium will offer a world-class experience for all guests, with a dedicated fan zone, a variety of food and beverage outlets, and state-of-the-art media and broadcast areas. It will also feature a unique party deck and cabanas for the ultimate cricketing entertainment.

The venue, located 30 miles east of Manhattan, will have good transport and parking facilities, with three train stations nearby. The wicket, a drop-in square similar to those used in Australia and New Zealand, is being prepared in Florida and will be transported to New York in early May.

The New York Cricket Stadium will host its first T20 World Cup match on 3 June, when Sri Lanka will take on South Africa. The highlight of the tournament, however, will be the India-Pakistan clash on 9 June, which is expected to draw a huge crowd of passionate fans from both sides.

The T20 World Cup, which will feature 16 teams and 45 matches, will be held in the USA and West Indies from 2 June to 4 July 2024. It will be the first time that the event will be staged in North America, and the second time that it will be held outside the traditional cricketing nations.
