Rahul Chahar and Harpreet Brar shone with the ball, each taking two wickets and maintaining a tight grip on CSK’s batting lineup, restricting them to 162 for 7.
Ruturaj Gaikwad’s impressive 62 earned him the orange cap for the highest run-scorer in the tournament so far. However, his efforts weren’t enough to secure victory for CSK. Winning the toss proved crucial, as Sam Curran elected to bowl first to take advantage of the dew factor later in the evening.
CSK faced an early setback when Deepak Chahar limped off the field after bowling just two deliveries, leaving them a bowler short.
