Why Did KKR Not Retain Shreyas Iyer? KKR’s choice not to keep Shreyas Iyer for IPL 2025 has surprised a lot of fans and cricket lovers. Many are asking, “why did KKR not retain Shreyas Iyer?” Iyer was a big part of the team and led KKR to the title last season, so his departure has left many people wondering what happened. Keeping Iyer would have meant a big financial commitment. With the salary limits in the IPL, KKR had to make some tough choices about who to keep. They decided to focus on other players like Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana, and Ramandeep Singh, who they think are essential for the team’s future.
