India vs West Indies: West Indies defeated India by 8 wickets to win the series (3-2) behind Brandon King’s outstanding 85-run unbroken innings and Romario Shepherd’s four-wicket haul.
India captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat in the game, which was played in Lauderhill, Florida.
Against the West Indies in the fifth and final T20, Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav hit his 15th fifty in a T20I. The Men in Blue reached a par score of 165/9 thanks to his fifty on a difficult track. Akeal Hosein grabbed two wickets, while Romario Shepherd claimed four.
India never really got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Tilak Varma, who managed 27(18) and combined with Suryakumar for 49 runs for the third wicket, was the second-highest scorer for the Indian team.
Arshdeep Singh rocked West Indies early in their chase of 166. However, India was eventually defeated by Nicholas Pooran and King after they combined for 107 runs for the second wicket. Tilak Varma dismissed Pooran out for 47 (35), which was also his first international wicket.
The defeat raises more questions on the Indian team as they struggled to win against a team that has failed to even qualify for the world cup.
