Travis Head’s dazzling 140 off 141 balls in the first innings was the game-changer. His knock handed Australia a vital 157-run lead and kept India under pressure throughout the match.
India’s batting faltered across both innings, with Nitish Reddy offering the only resistance. He scored 42 in each innings, but the rest of the lineup failed to withstand Australia’s pace attack.
On Day 2, Australia’s bowlers dismantled India’s top order. KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli all fell cheaply, leaving the team reeling.
This emphatic win brings the series to 1-1. Australia will look to carry this momentum forward, while India must regroup and strengthen their batting.
